Comunet’s Datacentre Pedigree
Comunet has been providing Datacentre (Cloud Infrastructure) facilities to its Australian customers since 2005. Today, we are recognised as one of the leading providers of outsourced datacentre operations in South Australia. In addition to providing hosted facilities to a very diverse range of local businesses, we have created a network of datacentres globally that support over 5000 Software as a Service (SaaS) users.

THE COMUNET PRIVATE CLOUD
Comunet’s datacentre operations are built around leading datacentre technology, which provides you with the confidence that your data is housed:
- securely in a well-managed facility;
- where it can be accessed 24/7;
- in a facility offering high availability; and
- in a scalable environment.
We recognise that ‘the cloud’ and ‘outsourcing to a hosted environment’ does not necessarily mean moving everything off-site or having no input into the type or location of equipment you want to use. We believe that there are 4 key areas where customers engage with us to take advantage of these facilities.
- Hosted IT Facilities: A co-location facility where customers can manage their own infrastructure
- Managed Cloud Facilities: A co-managed Infrastucture which can either be customer owned or shared.
- Hosted Disaster Recovery: A customer owned and accessed disaster recovery infrastructure
- Managed Disaster Recovery: A disaster recovery facility that’s managed by Comunet
TURN ON ADDITIONAL CAPACITY IN THE CLOUD
Accommodating additional capacity for project work, testing and seasonal peaks can be costly, especially if the equipment is then left dormant for long periods of time. The Comunet datacentre allows customers access to additional capacity within its datacentre quickly without waiting for capital expenditure sign-off and delivery. Customers can access storage, additional server capacity, and even WindowsTM SPLA licences. As there are no long contracts customers have the flexibility to turn-on the additional capacity for very short periods of time. Your data is hosted locally which means not only does it meet all the inherent security measures you would expect, more importantly your data remains here onshore.
